Le Cave

Three small tuff quarries, of which there are many on this island of Favignana, lie within a huge Mediterranean rock garden full of palm, olive and cacti, just metres away from the sea. A special elegant abode nested in the Aegadian archipelago whose landscape of tuff-formation is smoothly eroded by sea, rain and wind, dotted with enchanting beaches and coves. The villa lies a ten-minute walk from Cala Rossa, whose waters are considered among the most beautiful on the island, worth a visit in the early morning for a swim or in the evening after everyone has left. The town is about 15 minutes’ drive from the villa, 4x4 cars and scooters are useful for exploring Favignana's network of unpaved roads. Le Cave consists of two separate buildings, one with two bedrooms and two bath-rooms, the other with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen. The two buildings are connected by two large covered and furnished patios, from which there are views of the incredibile crystal-clear sea, and of sunsets behind the island’s castle-topped mountain.
