A beautiful farmhouse dating back to 1911, located in the heart of the Maremma Livornese, on the wonderful and well-known Viale dei Cipressi in Bolgheri. Its position makes it unique, immersed in the greenery with a 6000sqm garden, olive trees and the vineyards that surround it as far as the eye can see. To the West, the Sea (20 min) and to the East, the scenic village of Bolgheri with its Castle (a 10 min walk). Il Paretaio accommodates up to 12 or 14 guests between the main farmhouse and the delightful annexe which consists of an ancient oven, completely renovated and well furnished with all the amenities.
The main farmhouse comprises on the upper floor, 4 bedrooms each with private bathroom , another bedroom with external bathroom and a bedroom with private bathroom on the lower floor. Each room is furnished with extreme care and passion, with the skillful use of color and the combination of antiques and pieces of contemporary art that give the entire farmhouse a great and unique personality. The floors are made with the ancient terracotta typical of the area and the external walls with the typical exposed bricks of the late 19th century farmhouses. The whole structure is equipped with underfloor heating and air conditioning.
The annex, is composed of a bedroom that overlooks the garden, a bathroom and a kitchenette built around an old oven, expertly restored. It is, as well, equipped with both heating and air conditioning.
The common areas of Il Paretaio, such as the large dining room and the living room with the main fireplace, are wide open and have large windows overlooking the garden; the kitchen is equipped with all comforts and next to it, the old “Carraia” has been transformed into a living room with a cozy fireplace. From there, you can access the outside where there is a dining table and a wonderful stone barbecue, completely independent and an outdoor area that allows you to enjoy the garden even on rainy days! Also, next to the kitchen, a study / leisure room has been created with access to a splendid small Hammam with steam bath. But of Il Paretaio, the thing that strikes the most are the large spaces, the windows that make you feel immersed in nature and in every room offer breathtaking glimpses and views of the surroundings. It is a farmhouse that was designed and renovated with pure love for the area and for the ancient architectural features of Bolgheri.
The garden was created respecting the natural movements of the land, and the centuries-old trees give great peace. The swimming pool, made of stone, integrates wonderfully in these gentle movements of the land without being visible from the house.
