Quattrocento

In the mid-fourteenth Century the Bigordi family moved from the city of Florence to the majestic hillside of Colle Ramole founding a new family homestead overlooking the Duomo. Domenico Ghirlandaio had descended from crown makers for the Florentine elite including the Medici Family; he and his son Ridolfo were to become some of the most influential painters of the Quattrocento, and it is during this time that they foudned what is now the Dimora Ghirlandaio, an elegantly restored borgo just minutes away from Porta Romana, the southernmost door to the City, a most exclusive private villa for up to forty guests.
The Dimora has an in-house concierge, a full five star hotel-like staff, a spa and tratment room, two swimming pools (one of which is gigantic) and a restaurant. Each of the five villas has its own two to five bedrooms, living area with fireside lounge and equipped kitchen; two guesthouses have one suite each. All of the furnishings and finishings luxuriously represent local craftsmanship and the exteriors are tidy and manicured, with extra features like children's play area, poolside bar and grass lawn helipad.
Ideal for hosting special events and private gatherings in an exclusive luxury hotel buy-out in Florence.
