In a hidden location high above sea level, with an astonishing breadth over the entire Gulf of Naples and a particularly priviledged view of the island of Capri, stands a property called Palma. Recently transformed into a modern holiday home, this ancient structure wholly built of stone boasts two grand rooftop terraces on either side of the junior guest suite, a sea-facing infinity pool sided by a giant U-shaped shaded sofa area and a covered al fresco dining table, all set within an extremely lush Mediterranean garden lined by fruit trees and exotic flowers.
The position of Palma, although breathtaking in its scope, is also quaint; the nearest village is Massalubrense where the tourist crowds of Sorrento (6 km) dare not tread. This small town has a rich history, many churches, convents, and of course local shops and restaurants, but it has remained a well-kept secret by Italian villa owners in the region. Up and over the hill, one easily reached the other flank of the Penisola Sorrentina, a famous road winds past Nerano and on towards Positano and Amalfi...
Palma is best suited to familiar groups or close-knit couples. The three main floor bedrooms share two beautiful marble-cut bathrooms between them, and the firelit sitting room is comfortable but not snug, with access to the clean-cut kitchen where breakfast is enjoyed at the central table. Connectivity, maid service, parking and hot/cold outdoor shower included. Grocery and cook services highly reccommended for some meals during the stay.
