An ancient monastery built atop a hill overlooking the inlet and bay of Talamone on the southern coast of Tuscany, below a Natural Reserve and above the peninsula of Monte Argentario, with open panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and its Tuscan islands. The road leading to what is now known as Villa Bengodi was originally built by the Romans. The pathway to the gate of the property is utterly private yet only a few hundred metres off the Via Aurelia which links the region to the Roman capital (the international airport at Fiumicino is 160km away).
Crystal waters are reached at the edge of the garden; the countryside of Maremma sprawls behind the grounds with the same rolling motion as the Sea ahead of them. This delightful residence has enough bedrooms to host very large parties but is set up with ten ensuite bedrooms and a full staff of 9 for the utter enjoyment of a select few. Family getaways for lovers of exclusive Italy are highly reccommended.
